Bill allowing the shooting of others in anger is before the Senate

  • SB 1148, before the full Senate. It allows anyone to shot another person in anger and then claim the shooting was in self-defense. The NRA calls this “stand-your-ground.” 👎dislike

The full Senate could vote on this bill as early as tomorrow. The NRA asked their members to contact their State Senator. The reckless elimination of licenses passed into law

  • HB 786 /SB 765 passed into law. It removes the need to obtain a firearms license in order to own and carry guns. The NRA calls a license “government red tape or delays.”  No license means owning guns won’t require training or restrict dangerousness of gun owners. 👎 dislike

The Governor signed this bill into law, even after the numerous mass shootings that have occurred around the country. Expect gun violence frequency to increase in Tennessee.


Removing need for license passed the legislature
