This week, the Ohio House of Representative passed a bill that eliminates the need for a gun license. The NRA pushed this bill to make it more convenient for gunners to buy guns. No concern is given to restricting gun possession to those who are properly trained. This is a good time to contact your Ohio State Senator and ask to oppose HB 227. Active bill allows drivers to not tell police of firearms
March 3, 2021
- HB 89 takes away protections for the police by not requiring drivers to reveal guns in the car when stopped. The rational is the driver might forget they have a loaded gun in the car. I think any responsible gun owner would remember. 👎Dislike

Ohio: Justified killing bill passed into law
January 5, 2021
Republican Governor DeWine signed into law a stand your ground law in Ohio. These type of laws in other states have increased shooting deaths. See Giffords Law Center for more information.
A Stand your ground law passed in 2018 over Gov. Kasich’s veto. The law passed this year places the burden of proof of self-defense on the prosecution. So, anyone can claim self-defense when they murder. The prosecution must prove it was not self-defense in order to prosecute for murder.
- SB 175 is a stand your ground law or a shoot first law. Now someone can shoot a threatening person rather than walk away from the situation. 👎Dislike
