Three more dangerous NRA bills signed into law

- HB 1293, passed into law. It expands the type of guns that can be in cars. More deadly shootings during road rage are bound to increase. 👎dislike
- HB 1297, passed into law. It expands areas where guns are allowed. This includes sporting events. Apparently, legislators don’t care about lots of guns in the hands of drunken people in crowded situations. 👎dislike
- HB 1498 passed into law. It gives the right to shot anyone who you feel is a threat. Also called “stand-your-ground”, these type of laws started in Florida and proliferated to many other states. They smack of racism. 👎 dislike
The Governor signed all three of these NRA gun proliferation bills into law this week. The NRA website shows the ceremonial signing with 12 other white males and two white females in the background. No minorities are represented.
Republican ignore safety and ease gun license requirement

This is the last chance for gun violence prevention people to fight gun zealots and contact the Governor. Ask Governor Burgum’s office for opposition to HB 1293 and HB 1297. This bill now goes to the Governor for final signature. Once again, Republicans only care about themselves and their perception that guns in the home will make them safe. This bill passed the House and is now before the Senate. The real goal of letting criminals get gun licenses is for the NRA to sell more guns. They don’t consideration gun safety in their thinking. Today, the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee considered a bill to eliminate some criminal offenses that could prevent obtaining a dangerous weapons license. If approved, the bill will move to the House floor for a vote at any time. The legislature wants to allow more criminals to buy guns
