Committee hearing this week on several gun bills

- LB116 is in committee. This gun safety bill does three things. It creates a waiting period after application of 48 hours before a license is mailed to an applicate. Cooling off periods can stop many suicides and impulsive murders. The bill also increases permit fees and requires suicide prevention training.👍 like
- LB173 is in committee. It requires firearms to be stored separately from individuals while in an automobile. 👍 like
- LB300 is in committee. It expands the right to kill when threatened of laws law from being in the home to being in a vehicle. The number of road rage incidents turning into gun battles will expand. 👎dislike
- LB404 is in committee. It extends the gun license period from 5 years to 10 years. Keep in mind, this is a very long time between checks for criminal offenses. 👎dislike
- LB417 is in committee. It allows off duty security guards to bring their guns into schools when they are off duty. 👎dislike
