Michigan: Classification of gun stores changed to non-essential

Governor Gretchen Whitmer cleared up the classification of gun stores and designated them as non-essential. To protect public safety by limited social contacts, the Governor has wisely closed gun stores along with many other non-essential businesses.

The NRA has pushed the falacy that buying a gun is a constitutional right that cannot be stopped. I would remind them that free speach in the form of large protests is also a constituitional right. We are in an emergency situation. So large gathering and protests are prohibited, just as gun stores should be prohibited from openning.

Michigan: Gun stores apparently can stay open

Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued an emergency executive order suspending non-essential businesses. The order didn’t mention gun stores, so apparently gun stores can still sell their guns. The spread of more guns in a potential panic situation makes no sense.
