Massachusetts: The crime gun data analysis bill needs a final push

Guns on Table

The Massachusetts legislative process moves very slowly. Two years ago, The Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence set the Crime Gun Data Analysis bill as a priority. It would allow the analysis of already collected crime gun data to learn the flow of crime guns in Massachusetts.

This year, the bill managed to pass out of its committee and is with the Senate Ways and Means Committee. Please email or phone your State Representative and State Senator. Ask for help in moving H.2437/S.1562 along.

The Crime Gun Data Analysis bill passed favorably out of committee but needs help to bring it to the floor for a vote. This bill simply provides us with an analysis of currently collected data on crime guns. Please support H.2437/S.1562.
