The Senate Judiciary C Committee quickly passed four dangerous NRA bills today. All are expected to receive a vote by the full Senate tomorow (5/29), the last step before the Governor can sign the bills and they become law.

The NRA’s fights the gun safety measures

The NRA alerted their members today to call their State Senator asking for support of these bill. Please do the opposite. Support gun safety and call your State Senator and ask for opposition to these bills.

The bills

  • House Bill 746 allows guns to carried during an evacuation or a state of emergency. So, instead of a community working together, gun groups want us all armed and ready to shoot. 👎 Dislike
  • House Bill 781 declares any firearm business be classified as an “Essential Business” during an emergency. What better time for gun companies to make a lot of money. 👎 Dislike
  • House Bill 140 is a preemption law that prevents local authorities from restricting firearm possession. If implemented, towns could not restrict loaded guns from parades, parks or school events. 👎 Dislike
  • House Bill 334 allows loaded handguns in any kind of religious facility such as a church. 👎 Dislike

Gun violence prevention action

Please call or email the office of your State Senator immediately. Ask that he/she oppose HB 746, HB 781, HB 140 and HB 334. All of these bills expand the proliferation of dangerous weapons.
