Kansas – Yearly Session Ends

Fire Congress Sign

The Kansas Legislative Session ended for year last Friday. An NRA bill, HB 2042, was not brought up for an override vote. The bill failed. It would have recognized the concealed carry permits from out-of-state. This was a failure for the NRA.

This is on top of another failure for the NRA in April. They tried to block a bill to make it illegal for people convicted of domestic violence to own guns. However, the NRA couldn’t block it and the the Governor signed it into law.
