The Republican led legislature gathered enough votes this week to override the Governor’s veto of this dangerous bill that makes gun ownership easier, allowing the NRA’s gun companies to make more money in Kansas.

The Kansas House Committee of Federal and State Affairs approved of this reciprocity bill yesterday. Several committee members tried to add an amendment to ban guns from the Capitol. With no consideration of obviously dangerous attempted takeover of the nations Capitol, the amendment failed. It now goes before the full House for a vote.
The NRA pushes these bills in many states to increase the sale of guns. They asked their members to contact their Representatives on this bill. Gun control supporters who contact their Representatives now, please ask for opposition to HB2058. You can find your representatives at Common Cause.
Kansas: Reciprocity bill being considered
January 22, 2021
The Kansas House Committee on Federal and State Affairs is scheduled to hear a reciprocity bill on January 27. These bills extend license privileges to those with licenses from other state. This sounds logical until you realize that those licensed in other states often avoid training and security checks to get their license.
