Vermont: House committee to vote on waiting period bill soon

Cowboy with gun

Several weeks ago, the full Vermont State Senate pass the bill to require a 24-hour waiting period for the purchase of a gun. Since then, the bill has stalled in the House Judiciary Committee. But the NRA alerted their members to expect a vote soon, and shortly after, a full House vote. So, they alerted their gun nut members with, “It is imperative that every gun owner in the state contact their House members”.

So, to offset NRA gun nuts, it is imperative that concerned citizens contact their House representative and ask for support of this bill.

The Bill

👍 Senate Bill 169 would require a waiting period or a “cooling-off” period of 24 hours before receiving a gun.
