One NRA bill passed and no gun safety bills

Oklahoma is one of those states with a very high death rate from guns. Yet because it is dominated by Republicans, no gun safety laws advanced this year in the legislature. Only an NRA bill allowing anyone to have loaded guns wherever they want. No training is required.

The Bill

👎 House Bill 2597 will allow anyone to carry a loaded handgun in public, openly or concealed, without a permit. No safety training or background check being required.
