We’ve added our text for clarity
The following is a statement released by the NRA. The bold text has been added for clarity.
FAIRFAX, Va.– Our deepest sympathies [but not solutions] are with the families and victims of these tragedies, as well as the entire communities of El Paso and Dayton. [The same goes for the next communities to suffer.] On behalf of our millions of [dwindling] members, we salute the courage of the first responders and others offering their services [guns ready and eager to shoot bad guys] during this time [and the next time].
The NRA is committed [with thoughts and prayers]to the safe and lawful use of firearms by those exercising their Second Amendment freedoms [Including mass shooters]. We will not participate in the politicizing of these tragedies [as we wait for everyone to calm down] but, as always, we will work in good faith to pursue real solutions [by selling more guns to more people] that protect us all from people who commit these horrific acts. [See you in court as we fight any gun safety restrictions.]
