On March 08, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed in law SB 08. This law will expand mandatory background check to nearly all sales of guns. This closes the loophole that allowed sales of guns at gun shows. This is a big victory for gun reform advocates.

The Bill

House Bill 8 will restrict private firearms sales between individuals. A permit requiring a background check will be required for the exchange.
