Maine: An extreme risk protection bill to be heard on Monday (04/22)

Vote

The Maine Judiciary Committee is scheduled to hear testimony on a “red flag” bill. To oppose this bill, the NRA today encouraged their gun nut members to attend the hearing. They always oppose any legislation intended to make us safer from those with guns.

Support of this bill is needed by concerned citizens tod help offset the power of the NRA. The hearing is Monday (04/22) in the State House at 9:00 AM.

The Bill

👍 Legislative Document 1312 would create an “extreme risk protection orders” process. Also called a “red flag law, it would allow family members or police to request of the court that guns be removed from the possession of a dangerous person.
