Full Senate to vote any time now
Two resolutions requesting action by the Federal Government are before the full California Senate. Both request gun safety measures already enacted by California, but not in many other states. If these resolutions are passed, they may put some pressure on Congress to act. Also, other states may follow California’s lead.
The NRA alerted their members to fight these bills. This is an excellent time for California residents to diminish NRA power by making a quick call to their State Senator to support these resolutions.
👍 Assembly Joint Resolution 4 would encourage Congress to adapt the Background Checks bill nationwide.
👍 Assembly Joint Resolution 5 would request the Federal Government enact gun laws for the whole country that resemble California’s laws.

A quick phone call is very effective. Please call or email the office of your state Senator. Ask that he/she support AJR 4 and AJR 5.
