Louisiana: Four gun related bills to be heard in committee this week

The Louisiana House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee will hear four gun bills this week. These are four important gun bills and concerned citizens need to contact the committee.

The Bills

👎 House Bill 281 would strengthen the centralized state control called preemption. It would take away the freedom of communities to make their own gun restriction ordinances.

👎 House Bill 235 would allow loaded guns to be brought into churches.

👍 House Bill 483 would create an extreme risk type bill. This would allow family and authorities to remove guns from a dangerous person.

👍 House Bill 101 would create a “Voluntary Do Not Sell List.” This would allow individuals to add their own name, thereby restricting themselves from purchasing a gun.
